Compassion Shared Counseling

Hi, I'm Lauren Kilber, the owner of Compassion Shared LLC. Therapy with me is informal, honest, relational and collaborative. My passion is in helping others experience the transformative power of self-compassion. It's been the key to my own emotional health, and I love sharing the freedom it provides with others. I'm a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Kansas. As your therapist, I understand everyone heals differently, and as such, I use an integrative approach to therapy that is tailored to fit your individual needs. I specialize in working with individuals through a variety of issues such as: depression, anxiety, grief, concerns regarding spirituality/faith, relationship/marital conflict, and trauma. I utilize psychodynamic theory and attachment theory to gain insight into how our past relationships influence how we relate to ourselves and others in the present. I'm trained in emotion focused therapy to treat couples, and I also teach compassion-focused, mindfulness-based interventions as practical skills to help alleviate and regulate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
